Dear José – Yours Sincerely, Football.

Dear Jose,

We are writing to you in regard of your recent façade of football management. In a world in which loyalty, ethics and tradition is very hard to come by, many believed you held the answer to remaining true to the cause for the love of your sport.

Our blinkers were soon removed quite vigorously into the realisation of your reality.

A plea from the plenty arrives on the dawning of your masked words on the announcement of your new occupation.

We plea in optimism that your previous mastery of nonsensical words and feuds with the foundations of our game will diminish by reason of the prestigious level of those who took to the seat you now sit before you.

We, football, do not derive comfort from your falsified promises or pouring of sentimentality, yet simply ask for a moderation of respect to those who care for the future and wellbeing of the stature, structure and sustainment of Club Football teams.

We have developed and descended into expectation of false hope in your name and ability, been led to believe in the ordeal of your imaginative deconstruction, of which we witness both on and off the field of play in the footballing world.

We concur it is, categorically, far too late to save those left in the past of your promise, of your loyalty, too live on watching your legacy descend in to no more than the illusion it really was.

You speak of your club’s with the passion of a beloved follower and fan, in an almost religious tongue, to only blaspheme towards your verses sung by the thousand.

I need not confirm my craft, nor creed, nor club, yet attempt to construct an understanding of your thought process as an avid follower of all things football.

Your façade has returned, too those in Red, the blinkers are tightened, where they were once open, to those in Blue, the blinkers removed, to see your god in all its true spiteful glory…to the rest, a laughable figure, whom holds only the concern for the bettering of himself than those he claims to mentor, mould and manage to success.

Think of those whom you failed, the young and the old, those fallen to your trusted household figures, those lacking growth due to your inability to build from within and those left in surplus, forced to pastures new for not fitting your ego-filled mentality.

It’s happening again, and this time, the fall will be that much harder for the game, the club who holds a policy and philosophy of greatness and loyalty from within, a family in football that have stood as giants amongst us and stood the test of time.

With respect, we are admirably in awe of your accolades, a feat only achievable with a level of talent, regrettably, produced in such a manner of arrogance and self-stated plaudits.

Even them, fooled by your status, your swagger and swarve. You have arrived at your destination, Manchester United Manager, ready for the abolition of a club’s youth policy, beliefs, core and prestigious charm.

Welcome the death of football once more, by the now fittingly ‘Devil’ of our game, Jose Mourinho.

We will not hold our breath in confidence of change or reply, only foresee the inevitable destruction you will cause to the longevity of the club you hold in your hands.

Yours Sincerely,

Football.
